Yunnanosaurus (Primordial Tyrants)

Yunnanosaurus is a medium to large sauropodomorph from the early Jurassic period native to Yunnan province, southern China that has been modded into Path of Titans by the Primordial Tyrants Team.

Description

Yunnanosaurus is long with a cylindrical frontal profile and a horizontal stance. It has a long neck characteristic of Sauropodomorphs and like many early Sauropodomorphs was bipedal. It's primary method of defence is it's stock arms with 3 large curved claws and it's long powerful tail.

Yunnanosaurus ( yoo-NAN-oh-SOR-as) is an extinct genus of sauropodomorph dinosaur that lived approximately 199 to 183 million years ago in what is now the Yunnan Province, in China, for which it was named. Yunnanosaurus was a large sized, moderately-built, ground-dwelling, quadrupedal herbivore, that could also walk bipedally, and ranged in size from 7 meters (23 feet) long and 2 m (6.5 ft) high to 4 m (13 ft) high in the largest species.

The first remains were found in the Lufeng Formation in Yunnan Province, China, in 1942. The type species, Yunnanosaurus huangi, was named in 1942. Yunnanosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period. Yunnanosaurus was a member of the Sauropodomorpha, a group of dinosaurs that includes the sauropods, the largest animals to ever walk the earth.
