Compsognathus (Divine Beasts)

Compsognathus (also known as the compy) ( Greek kompsós/κομψός "elegant", "refine" or "dainty" and gnáthos/γνάθος "jaw") was a small, bipedal, carnivourous dinosaur. Its streamlined body shape allowed it to run swiftly. Only two specimens have been found. It has been modded in by the Divine Beasts team.

Description

Compsognathus is a small, fast, and agile dinosaur that can be found in the forest. It is a social dinosaur that can be found in groups.

Paleo Info

Compsognathus is a genus of small, bipedal, carnivorous theropod dinosaur. Members of its single species Compsognathus longipes could grow to around the size of a chicken. They lived about 150 million years ago, during the Tithonian age of the late Jurassic period, in what is now Europe. Paleontologists have found two well-preserved fossils, one in Germany in the 1850s and the second in France more than a century later. Today, C. longipes is the only recognized species, although the larger specimen discovered in France in the 1970s was once thought to belong to a separate species and named C. corallestris.

Survival Tips

Compsognathus is a creature that has the easiest time surviving unless it seeks confrontation. With its small size, high speed, superior jump and nearly endless stamina it can evade just about anything. It lacks in offensive aspects but in a pack against 1-3 slots it can prove to be dangerous should those Compies either find one sitting or sleeping, or if they utilize all of their buff calls in order to maximize their damage!

Compy only can be an offensive playable as the chances of it surviving a hit are quite low unless the hit landed on its tail. It is easily trampled by most creatures in the game as well. It relies on evading all incoming attacks in order to survive.
