
What is Path of Titans?
Path of Titans is a prehistoric MMO Survival game being developed and published by Australian studio Alderon Games where players take on the role of a dinosaur.
Gameplay
The player controls a variety of different species of dinosaurs from a third-person perspective, exploring a large prehistoric enviorment and completing quests to earn experience points. Players can initially choose from thirty-six available dinosaurs to play as, such as the
Each of these dinosaur species uses a different playstyle in order to complete objectives and survive in their respective environments.
The goal of the game is to allow dinosaur enthusiasts to roleplay as their favorite prehistoric beasts. Core mechanics include in-depth character customization, questing, interchangable abilities, aquatic gameplay, roaming critter AI, player housing in the form of Home Caves, nesting, built-in modding support, and cross-platform play between PC, consoles, and mobile devices. Path of Titans will include many more features such as multiple game modes and Dinosaur AI.
Development
Path of Titans was first announced in January 2019. Path of Titans has gone through several major overhauls and content updates, evolving from a simple fishing demo in 2020, to a fully playable and diverse early-access game. Players can join multiplayer servers and experience the current state of development including the work-in-progress questing system, nesting, and the ever-changing combat and PvP balance. Players are encouraged to document and log observed bugs to help aid in development. Those who frequently find and report previously unrecorded bugs can earn in-game rewards such as custom skins.
The game currently features 21 playable carnivores and 15 playable herbivores. Theres are a few planned upcoming playables such as Microraptor and Tylosaurus.
