The Metriacanthosaurus is a medium-sized terrestrial carnivore. Though lacking in damage output, its variety of supportive abilities - such as a poisonous hide and healing call - make it a valuable ally to any carnivore pack.
Appearance
Metriacanthosaurus has unique crests on its brow with a recognizable dewlap, which sets its appearance aside from other medium sized carnivores. Metriacanthosaurus is also unique in its penchant for brightly colored skins, which hints at its exclusive poisonous hide. Metriacanthosaurus has a distinctive row of scales running down the sides of its neck in a line, and large curved claws that are well suited for its claw attacks.

Metriacanthosaurus (meaning "moderately-spined lizard") is a genus of metriacanthosaurid dinosaur from the upper Oxford Clay of England, dating to the Late Jurassic period, about 160 million years ago (lower Oxfordian). Metriacanthosaurus belongs to the family Metriacanthosauridae in the larger superfamily, Allosauroidea.
Trivia
- Metriacanthosaurus and Megalania are currently the only playable carnivores able to inflict the venom status during combat; However, Metricanthosaurus only applies the status effect through its reflect hide ability, known as "Putrid Scales", while Megalania applies it through its bite. Also, the Metriacanthosaurus applies its venom with a unique "Mushroom" icon.
- This dinosaur was funded and selected by perk owners during the Path of Titans crowdfunding campaign.
- Metriacanthosaurus' poison ability was partially inspired by its 'Poison Dart' skin, referencing a Poison Dart frog.
- Metriacanthosaurus appears in 2 update trailers as of October 2023: NightStalker Update and Pounce Update
- Metriacanthosaurus was originally released as a venom support similar to Megalania; however, after the Pounce Update, it was reworked to instead be a healing support.
