Concavenator

Concavenator is a medium-sized terrestrial carnivore. It uses its agility and bladed teeth to bleed out its prey. Uniquely to Path of Titans, it is an exceptionally good swimmer.

Description

Concavenator has a large hump over its hips, giving it a distinct appearance from the other medium-sized carnivores in Path of Titans. It has strong arms and claws, which it uses to inflict bleed damage on its prey, and used to slowly wither them away, however, in the recent influx of modded creatures and different playstyles, the "bleeding out"strategy is becoming less viable as a whole, and solo concavenator players will find it it difficult to carve out a niche in the ecosystem, making the concavenator a less popular and viable choice.

Paleo Info

Concavenator is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived approximately 130 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous period (Barremian stage). The type species is C. corcovatus; Concavenator corcovatus means "Cuenca hunter with a hump". The fossil was discovered in the Las Hoyas fossil site of Spain by paleontologists José Luis Sanz, Francisco Ortega, and Fernando Escaso from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the National University of Distance Education. Concavenator belongs to the family known as Carcharodontosauridae.

Trivia

  • The calls of this dinosaur were inspired by tiger chuffs and various hissing animals.
  • The quills found on the spinatergus sub-species are speculative, and are based on evidence of quill knobs found on the arm fossils of Concavenator.
  • This dinosaur was funded by a perk owner during the Path of Titans crowdfunding campaign.
  • Concavenator was once free in the demo phase.
  • Despite being small, Concavenator seems to be in a Family of smaller Dinosaurs, but is actually a Carcharodontosaurid.
