Description
Slender and sleek, the Eurhinosaurus is built for rapid underwater mobility. Resembling the modern day swordfish, it bears a thin and elongated snout, and at the end of its body is a powerful tail used to propel it forward with ease. Four flattened limbs and a dorsal fin aid in its balance while swimming.

Eurhinosaurus (Greek for 'well-nosed lizard'- Eu meaning 'well or good', rhino meaning 'nose' and sauros meaning 'lizard') is an extinct genus of Ichthyosaur from the Early Jurassic (Toarcian), ranging between 183 and 175 million years ago. Fossils of the aquatic reptile have been found in Western Europe (England, southern and northern Germany, the Benelux, France, and Switzerland). They used to live in the deep open sea. Eurhinosaurus was a large genus of Ichthyosaurs. The average adult *Eurhinosaurus *was about 6 meters long and 450 kg.
Eurhinosaurus belongs to the family Leptonectidae and belongs to the group Neoichthyosauria.

- The Eurhinosaurus is the smallest playable aquatic creature. It is also the second fully aquatic playable creature to come to the game.
- Upon its release, one of Eurhinosaurus' subspecies was accidentally labeled as katiki. This was later corrected to longirostris.
- The subspecies name "communis" may be a reference to Ichthyosaurus communis.
